The Student Voices of Injustice Project (SVOI) and Reflections: Oral Histories @ UVA strive to amplify the voices of Black community members whose experiences and demands have routinely been ignored by the broader University. SVOI and Reflections have teamed up to collect narratives (written, video, and/or audio) and surveys on the the Black UVA student experience to provide the Black community a platform to elevate their voices. This project is not a research project, but rather an opportunity to provide a reference point for decision-makers as they act to enact institutional change at UVA. Your voices need to be heard. Even if you are unable to share your story via written format, video, or voice recording, your responses to this survey will inform UVA of its racial climate.
