This is a survey to test public opinion on the impact the overall impact of methodically altering tire pressure on the acceleration to 60 MPH of vehicles.
There will be two vehicles used: A 450 HP rear-wheel drive Dodge Challenger, and a 375 HP all-wheel drive Dodge Charger. The Challenger has a factory 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds, while the Charger has a factory 0-60 time of 5.4 seconds. The Charger is a newer vehicle and has better grip, but the Challenger is more powerful. Two types of tires will also be used: all-season tires (which are built for everyday driving) and high performance tires (which are built for speed). This is done to attempt to limit variability and remove other determining factors.
You will be asked six questions, four of which should each be answered based on what you believe altering tire pressure will do to the overall acceleration. If you do not know, simply make your best assumption. The other two questions pertain to how frequently you drive on an everyday basis and your knowledge about motor vehicles.
