This assessment will help education enrichment partners on the Eastern Shore better understand your teaching and how we can best develop programming to meet your needs in the classroom, especially in regard to place-based learning and science literacy.
This survey - primarily quick multiple choice questions - contains sections focused on 
1. You as a Teacher, 
2. Your Teaching and In-Class Experiences, 
3. Learning Experiences on the Shore, 
4. Professional Development Opportunities (your experience and preferences). 

The survey takes approximately 15 minutes.
At the end, you will have the option of entering a drawing for gift cards for school supplies to thank you for your participation.

This survey has been formulated to broadly assess the needs and experience of teachers on the Eastern Shore. The resulting data will only be considered in aggregate (summary). You are not required to submit identifying information to participate in this study. Any identifying information that you do provide will be separated from your responses before any responses are considered. You have the option to withdraw from the survey at any time; please just be sure to type WITHDRAW into the next text box that you encounter in the survey.
Your responses will shape the programs that we choose to offer, but your participation or responses will not affect your school's access to funds or resources that we may provide.

Informed Consent Agreement

Please read this consent agreement carefully before you decide to participate in the study.

Purpose of the research study: The purpose of the study is to broadly assess the needs and experience of teachers on the Eastern Shore.

What you will do in the study:  You will complete an online survey (up to 50 questions) regarding Educator needs on the Eastern Shore. 

Time required: The study will require about 15-20 minutes of your time.

Risks: There are no anticipated risks in this study.

Benefits: There are no direct benefits to you for participating in this research study.  The study may help us better understand the teaching and needs of Eastern Shore educators.

Confidentiality: Your data will be anonymous which means that your name will not be collected or linked to the data.  Because of the nature of the data, it may be possible for the researchers to deduce your identity; however, there will be no attempt to do so and your data will be reported in a way that will not identify you.

Voluntary participation: Your participation in the study is completely voluntary. You may skip any question that makes you feel uncomfortable or that you do not wish to answer. A decision not to participate would have no effect on your employment status.

Right to withdraw from the study: You have the right to withdraw from the study at any time without penalty.  Because the data are anonymous, you cannot withdraw after you submit your data.

How to withdraw from the study: If you do not complete the survey, you are withdrawn from the study.  There is no penalty for withdrawing.

Payment: You will receive no payment for participating in the study
