Creating Inclusive and Accessible Learning

Fall 2023 A&S Faculty Learning Community

In this faculty learning community, we will explore how an educational approach to accessibility based on inclusive design not only benefits students living with disabilities but has a broader impact and benefit to all students. Participants will leave the program with an increased understanding of accessibility and the skills and resources to support ongoing efforts to improve accessibility in their courses, programs/departments, and the College. The learning community consists of six in-person meetings during the fall semester and will be limited to 12 participants. Applications are due Friday, August 18. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance shortly thereafter. E-mail Emily Scida at ees2n@virginia.edu with any questions.
