I. PREPARE THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION MATERIALS:
- Complete the form below well in advance to have one letter of support and one letter of endorsement to be submitted online to the Office of Undergraduate Research by 12 p.m. on December 7, 2018. Applications will be incomplete and not reviewed if letters have not been provided by the deadline. An automated email will be sent to your advisor and community partner with instructions for letter submission. Click the link below.
- Every Team member is required to provide the following items. Combine documents as a single PDF and name the document with team member's "Last Name_First Name.pdf".
- If your proposed JPC project will involve international travel, you will need to complete:
- The International Studies Office’s (ISO) Travel Form For Student Research and Service- Learning Abroad (a two-page pdf form)
- Online registration.
- The purpose of these forms is to help your group reflect on and prepare for the unique conditions, opportunities, and challenges of proposing to conduct a JPC research and service project outside of the United States. Knowing that you may not have all the details of your project at this time, we ask that you provide as much information as possible. Your responses will also be considered during the review of your JPC project application. In addition to answering several questions about preparing for a JPC project abroad, you will need to supply your travel dates and travel destination at the time of online registration. Please complete the International Projects Travel Form by December 7, 2018, and save a copy of the form to submit with your application. Access the form here.

- Complete Budget Spreadsheet. The budget spreadsheet should not be alterd in any form. If it is altered, your grant application will not be reviewed. If requesting a stipend, you can enter whole number and decimal numbers as weeks. Click the link below to download.

- An optional Budget Narrative for each line item can be provided to help the reviewers evaluate your budget critically.
- Preliminary Work Plan
- A detailed series of questions prompting the development of a work plan can be found on the JPC website: http://www.virginia.edu/jpc/docs/JPCProjectWorkPlan.pdf. Briefly summarize a preliminary work plan using the chart below as a guide. Format the chart to suit your project and attach as a separate page.
- If this is a continuation of a previous JPC project, please have the following information prepared for the application:
- Previous Project Title
- Year of Project
- Faculty Advisor
- Team members' name
- Describe the outcomes of the previous JPC project. What did the group accomplish? How were outcomes measured (100 words max)
- How is this new project proposed different from the previous project (100 words max)
