Wisdom and Wellbeing Quick Check

This survey is part of a broader effort to understand the scope and challenges of healthcare services and the occupational demands experienced by healthcare team members. The survey is sponsored by the UVA Wisdom and Wellbeing Program.

PURPOSE/ROUTINE USES: The purpose of this survey is to learn about the scope of work-related stress experienced by healthcare team members. Your participation in this survey will contribute to efforts to better understand the stress and resilience challenges facing our team members.

IMPORTANCE:  The Wisdom and Wellbeing approach is dedicated to doing what is right for patients and the healthcare team as they face unplanned or unexpected life challenges. Wisdom and Wellbeing is a program intended to address occupational stress that can influence professional and personal performance, impact job satisfaction, and affect retention.

PARTICIPATION: Completion of this survey is entirely voluntary. Failure to answer any of the questions will NOT result in any penalties except lack of representation of your opinions in the results of the survey. You may stop taking the survey at any time without penalty. There is no direct benefit to you from filling out this survey; however, your participation may help to identify and enhance understanding of the challenges faced by health care staff in providing services and navigating occupational stress.

Your personal score will be displayed at the end of the survey.

RISK: There are minimal risks associated with this survey. One risk to you is the inappropriate disclosure of your responses. This risk is minimized by procedures that the Wisdom and Wellbeing team has established to ensure that your responses will be protected by not using personal identification and only reporting group data. A second risk is that answering questions about the work challenges and occupational stress may bring to consciousness those experiences for you and cause distress. Resources available to all UVA Health employees who experience distress is provided by the Faculty Employee Assistance Program (FEAP): Phone: (434-243-2643) or https://uvafeap.com/appointments/.

CONFIDENTIALITY: Your responses to this survey will be kept strictly confidential. No personal identification is collected in this survey. Group analysis will only be completed for groups of 8 or more. For example, if there are less than 8 Nursing Assistants participants the analysis of Nursing Assistant response will not be done. You can be assured that your responses will be confidential and safely protected.
