Purpose
All students are expected to proactively seek long-term financial aid and support prior to the start of each semester, including through Student Financial Services (sfs@virginia.edu). However, the School of Engineering recognizes that emergent financial hardships may arise.
This application is for financial support through the UVA School of Engineering for graduate students who have experienced unexpected financial hardship. "Hardships" can take many forms, but generally include not being able to meet pressing financial needs, whether it be tuition, rent, food, healthcare, or necessary travel. Applications must address why the need is emergent, and supporting documentation is strongly encouraged for full consideration of your application.
This application is for current graduate students only. If you are an undergraduate student, please ask for help from someone in the Undergraduate Programs Office.
