CTE CDI/Ignite Program Application

Course Design Institute: Our Summer 2025 Course Design Institute (CDI) is scheduled for May 19-23. During this intensive, week-long seminar, you will (re)design a course built on learner-centered, equitable, and inclusive design principles and develop a final or near-final syllabus.
Ignite: The Ignite program is for faculty who have worked at UVA less than four years. It is designed to help you build a supportive, interdisciplinary teaching community; learn how to create equitable, effective, and engaging courses; and explore your values as an educator in the context of a rapidly changing society and higher education landscape.

Ignite begins with the Course Design Institute and continues with a semester-long learning community. Once you complete the Ignite application, you'll be directed to questions related to CDI.
